Welcome and Roll Call: Luisa Whittaker-Brooks, Chair
- In attendance: Rachel Anderson, Lucie Chamberlain, Dawn Davis (PTA-president elect), Jared Denton, Tricia Ellison, Courtney Ferrara, Scott Jameson, Jorge Lopez, Karen Pedersen (School Board Member), Luisa Whittaker-Brooks.

Approve Minutes from SCC Meeting on November 19, 2024
- Rachel Anderson moved to approve the minutes, seconded by Scott Jameson. SCC minutes from 11/19/24 was unanimously approved by SCC members in the room.
School Safety Drill Updates: Scott Jameson, Principal
- Fire drill was a success. Tricia followed up with teachers who didn’t mark themselves as safe.
- Crisis Go will continue to be utilized going forward.
- February Drill: reviewed hazardous waste/shelter in place.
- Guardian bill passed last year. Alta View continues the search for two guardians.
Canyoneering Parent Nights 2025
- Held January 23, 5 pm at Eastmont Middle
Share 23-24 TSSP/Land Trust Final Report: Scott Jameson, Principal
- Reviewed results of last year’s goals and results.
- Consult the TSSP/Land Trust Final Report for specific information.
Review 24-25 TSSP/Land Trust Plans, School Focus: Scott Jameson, Principal
- Review TSSP/Land Trust plan, data, and expenditures and review if on course or if amendments are necessary
- Using less money for IREADY has freed up money (applying for grants to cover).
- $20,000 down to costing $7000
- Some of the budget will be spent to hire a bilingual math interventionist for all grades AND extending the current interventionist’s time by 30 minutes a day to work with more students.
TSSP/Land Trust for 2025-26: Scott Jameson, Principal
- Plans and timelines to write the TSSP and Land Trust plans for next year
- For specific information on goals consult the proposed TSSP/Land Trust for 2025-26
- SCC’s feedback will be taken back to the Building Leadership Team for discussion before the SCC will vote/approve the proposal.
- Everything is the same as with previous years with the exception: first grade is adding IReady, fourth grade DLI is opting out of IReady.
- Questions:
- Kindergarten is full day and will not be doing the two teacher model.
- Special education and ML instruction happens during SBI time so students aren’t missing core instruction in the classrooms.
- If staffing changes, fourth grade will need to wait a year in order to be able to use IReady.
- Scott will look into having an action plan to be able to use extra funds for licenses.
- SCC members had no extra input/feedback regarding the 25-26 proposed plan.
- Scott/Tricia will need to consider adding Mastery Connect for funding.
- Motion to approve the goals by Luisa and seconded by Rachel: unanimous vote for approval.
Emergency Contact Update:
- During conferences, teachers can/will look up emergency contacts and identify families who need to update in the office.
