Welcome and Roll Call: Luisa Whittaker-Brooks, Chair

Approve Minutes from SCC Meeting on February 18, 2025
Rachel moved to approve the minutes, seconded by Jared. SCC minutes from 2/18/25 was unanimously approved by SCC members in the room.
Review Positive Behavior Plan: Emily Cross, Social Worker
We discussed our positive behavior plan which includes push in lessons in teacher’s classrooms during morning meetings, small groups (anxiety, friendship), one on one sessions, supplemental lessons during the day per teacher request to match classroom needs, supplies classroom calming corners in classrooms, smoking prevention programs, restorative practices, and provide parent resources.
School wide programs: Principal’s challenge…Kindness Kids, Mindful Room, Rocky Road Cards, Class Dojo, Holiday Service, Red Ribbon Week, Veteran’s Day celebrations, partnerships with Safe UT, Family Center, Dare Program, volunteers, Book Blitz, Girls on the Run, Chess Masters.
Hopeful Beginnings (private therapy) to be put on next year’s Behavior Plan.
We will continue our conversations about possibly adding cultural celebrations from other Spanish speaking countries.
School Safety Drill Updates: Tricia Ellison, IC
No updates. Carbon monoxide drill will be held the last week of March and will include an evacuation to be compliant with the district’s mandatory evacuation every other month.
Utah Shake Out held in April is a statewide activity that Alta View will participate in without an evacuation.
Next year a VP will take over all safety at Alta View.
TSSP/Land Trust Plan for 2025-26, continuation: Scott Jameson, Principal
Feedback and Final approval of the TSSP/Land Trust Plan for 2025-26

SCC members signed the document stating that the plan is approved.
Rachel moved to approve the TSSP/Land Trust Plan for 2025-26, seconded by Tricia. The said plan was unanimously approved by SCC members in the room.
