1. Welcome and Roll Call – William R. Nettles
In attendance: Scott Jameson, Tricia Ellison, Wesley Morgan, Luisa Whittaker-Brooks, William Nettles, Annie Hamilton, Ryan Fletcher, Rachel Anderson, Melissa Smith, Julie Cornia, Lucie Chamberlain, Lori Olaveson, Jorge Lopez, Megan Ricks

2. Review and Approve SCC Minutes from 10/14/25 Meeting
William moved to approve the minutes.
Ryan seconded the motion.
All approved.

3. Attendance Policy Review and Update – Asst. Principal Wesley Morgan
• Percentages of students were shown in a line graph through December 2025, and the data shows great improvement.
• This year, the focus is on partial absences such as tardies, early departures, or partial days. The graphs also show success in these areas.
• Illness and vacation continue to be the main reasons for missed school days.

4. School Safety Updates – Asst. Principal Wesley Morgan
• October safety drill: Bomb threat drill. Paper tracking was used and went very well.
• Upcoming November safety drill.
• Any other safety concerns were discussed.

5. Review and Approve Annual Plans – Asst. Principal Wesley Morgan

a) SCC watched the Digital Citizenship District Report
• There was an update about strikes based on Chromebook filter views. This point was not included in the video.
• No concerns were raised regarding filter questions. Mr. Jameson explained that while the system is not perfect, it is what is currently available.
• Discussion included how filters are set in place and balancing safety with overprotection that could limit access to educational tools.
• Questions were raised about how technology use in school is addressed.

b) Continued conversation around The Anxious Generation and strategies to help reduce anxiety in the student body
• One idea shared was sending a general survey to parents to understand family perspectives on technology use.
• Another idea was to invite experts to present at a technology night for parents to help find a balance between technology and safety.
• The main concern identified was technology safety and screen time.
• A secondary concern acknowledged was student pick-up and releasing students to parents.

6. Approval of Plans
• Rachel Anderson moved to approve the Digital Citizenship Plan, and William Nettles seconded the motion. All were in favor.

• SCC reviewed safety measures and protocols prior to the meeting.
• Rachel Anderson moved to approve the plan, and William Nettles seconded the motion. All were in favor.
• The school safety plan was reviewed and moved for approval by William Nettles and seconded by Ryan Fletcher. All were in favor.

7. Review TSSP Progress
• First round of behavioral (SRSS-IE) data is available.

8. Other Input/Questions
(No action can be taken on matters not listed specifically on the agenda. Any significant items of discussion may be tabled and placed on a future agenda.)

9. Adjourn
William moved to approve adjournment, and Melissa seconded the motion.
The November SCC meeting adjourned at 4:55 p.m.
