Approve SCC Minutes from 5/19/26 – New Chair

Review of SCC Requirements – New Chair/Principal Corrie Barrett
Review Bylaws, including review and approval of proposed amendments, Rules of Order, and Website requirements
- Corrie proposes change to bylaws from 5 required minimum employee members to 2. This is just a correction to a mistake and does not change the overall bylaws.
- Corrie motioned, Annie seconded – passed unanimously

Safety drill update –
- Reported on Fire Drill in September
- We will have lockdown drill in September
- Working on making sure CrisisGo is notifying all employees
Updates on other school safety issues
- Changes in sign-in procedures – have had to turn people away who didn’t have appropriate ID
- Did have an update for larger events

- Tricia reviewed goals from 2025-26 and end of year data & success with plans from last year
2025-26 LAND Trust Plan
- Tricia reviewed goals and updated plans for 2026-27 school year
Positive Behavior Plan
- Corrie shared list of things in place to carry out this plan at Alta View – Q&A
- Marie Johnson – Talked through updates on Book Blitz (from the PBP list)
- Rachel shared experience with Book Blitz vs Rocky’s Reading Challenge

Safe Walking Routes
- Wesley shared map of walking routes (to be approved in October)
- Shared updates from the county about where the cross walk will be to avoid people crossing in the wrong places
School Safety and Digital Citizenship Plan (to be approved in October)
- Wesley shared a brief overview of plans to be discussed in future meetings. He will send out some resources to review in conjunction with this
