School/Home Communication:

1. Parent Square is Canyons District’s main platform for school/home communications. Parent Square is used for school-wide and classroom newsletters, parent/teacher communications, permission slips (that can be returned electronically with digital signatures), scheduling parent/teacher conferences, and much more. You can also choose what language you would like to receive these communications and Parent Square will automatically translate them for you. Parent Square can be accessed on a computer or phone. Click on the link and watch the 2-minute video to learn more about Parent Square. Your child’s teacher will help you get set up and learn how to use Parent Square.

2. Skyward Family Access: Please verify and update all of your contact information in Skyward (emails, phone numbers, home address, etc). Your Parent Square account will be set up with the information you put into Skyward. This is also where you will put emergency contact info and where you will find your child’s grades.

3. Alta View’s Website: Bookmark altaviewelementary.com. Here you can find a continuously updated school calendar, the latest school and district news, breakfast and lunch menus, the bell schedule, school rules and procedures, SCC and PTA links, volunteer sign-ups, and so much more!
